Kei trucks can bypass the 25-year federal vehicle exemption by registering as UTVs in states that permit street-legal UTVs, with 45 states honoring the other states' laws. Receiving your license plates can be completed by mail and without being a resadent of the State.

- Connecticut CT: Our Kei truck listings for Connecticut can be registered at your local DMV for street-legal commercial or personal use on public roads.
- Maine, ME:The state of Maine allows our Kei trucks to be street-legal with a speed restriction of 60 mph within 100 miles of the registered address.
- Massachusetts, MA: Japanese mini trucks will be allowed on the public streets in the state of Massachusetts from September 2024.
- New Hampshire, NH: Mini trucks are street-legal in New Hampshire with a 35 mph speed restriction. These vehicles must be driven within 25 mi of the driver’s residence or business.
- New York, NY: Kei trucks for sale in New York are road-legal. However, 20% of local DMVs make it a hassle to register due to a lack of knowledge.
Mini Trucks for UTV Registration
- New Jersey, NJ: Kei trucks can not be registered for road use through New Jersey registration. Our listings have the option to register out of state as a street-legal UTV with our recommended legal service.
- Pennsylvania PA: Mini trucks cannot be registered for road use in Pennsylvania. Our listings offer the possibility to register them out of state as street-legal UTVs using our suggested legal service.
- Rhode Island RI: Our Japanese mini trucks for sale are not allowed on the public streets through Rohde Island registration.
